Ingredients
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Smoked sausage
- Broccoli florets
- Penne pasta
- Alfredo sauce
- Onion
- Oil
Instructions
Dice onion, thinly slice smoked sausage and grate cheddar cheese.
Heat up a small amount of oil in a large skillet, then brown the sausage very well.
Remove the sausage from the pan but leave the fat behind, add in diced onion and sautee, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
Add 3 cups of penne pasta, the jar of alfredo sauce and 3 cups of water (Pro tip: use some of the water to get the remaining alfredo sauce out of the jar).
Add in the frozen broccoli florets, and the smoked sausage. Stir well, bring up to a boil, then cover and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes stirring occasionally.
When pasta is done to your liking, add in the shredded cheddar cheese, and let it sit for 3 to 5 minutes so sauce can thicken.
Enjoy!

Side note: Noodles can be cooked separately then added to the sauce mixture.
Onions can be added to the sausages half way thru browning. Then combine all other ingredients and let simmer for 5 minutes. And rest for another 5 minutes.
